Title: Exile version of eXpoch Vector Building for FREE

This is a lite version of the Vector building system inside of eXpoch Addon for Exile.

This retains the regular version of Exile's construction thread but adds vector building directly in.
Easy install
1. Move the eXpochVectorBldg folder to your mission file
2. Copy the CfgExileCustomCode data into your config.cpp class CfgExileCustomCode
ENJOY and GAME ON!!!

CONTROLS:

Keys Q and E as well as NUM7 and NUM9 will rotate the object
Keys PageUP and PageDOWN take care of Height of the object
Keys Home and END as well as NUM8 and NUM2 will move the object farther and closer
Keys NUM4 and NUM6 will move the object left and right
Keys NUM5 as well as BACKSPACE will reset the object to a [0,2,1] attachment point

ARROWs Left and Right will tilt the object in the same manner
ARROWs Up and Down will tilt the object away from you or toward you

Thanks very much for this! But i appear to have a problem, as soon as you place an exile flag it sinks half way into the ground

We have the same issue with the flag too, also some other items.  The big dome from EBM mod sits half way in the ground. This is not a complaint just pointing out problems, brilliant work and thank you for sharing this script.  Keep up the good work

Hi Sanchez.

Me and some other People from the Exile Forums can confirm the shown Bugs from Seanjos Video. Something is really weird with the Snap Mode.

Sometimes it Snaps at Positions outside a Wall. And you can't move it away from there.

Then suddenly after some seconds it`s reacting and will snap to the positions you want it to.
But in 75 % in Snap mode , it`s anywhere , but not where you want to have it and it doesn't react.

It`s just the Snap Mode. When Building in Free Mode everything is working like a charm.

Just a little Feedback from my obversations.

Thank you gentlemen for your reports.
I will be investigating both of these issues starting this evening.
1 quick beta host to get started up and the testing will begin.
I hope to have these resolved very soon and will update the git with any important info.

Tonights bug fixing has been 100% successful

[FIXED] Flag gets placed into ground when Built
[UPGRADE] Snapping gets full on vector wait till you see :WiNK:
[UPGRADE] Added min and max checks on the movements (update from work on wasteland vector)
[UPGRADE] Cleaned up code for this release since Exile has a thread for the placement

Hi,

Just reporting that we are still getting Extended Base Mod items sinking into the ground, I think its mainly the extended base items eg towers, walls etc,  not sure if they act differently in game from normal exile base items

Hi I can't get this to work with exile. I followed the directions and have everything setup correctly. No rpt errors or anything. But it does not work. Any help? Thanks!

I installed it on my exile server and was kicked by Battleeye / Infistar. AttachTo Kick. Do I have to adapt something to Infistar?

If using the attachment part of the vector building system and you were kicked/log by infiStar.
I currently do all of my testing with infiStar, inside of infistar config hpp is a section concerning attachments:

attach_to_check should be false

Your menu at the top right has much more elements (Building menu). So more explanations. How can I change this in my installation?

Well glancing through there, I definitely feel your pain.
I guess maybe a bit of conversation could help through the issues you are experiencing.
Its gotta be something easy, I have not heard of much other than that as a problem now.

Hi,

Thanks for the response Sanchez. How should we proceed. I have all the files in my mission file and called the files in the config.cpp and playerlocal.sqf. It should be straight forward. But it seems it is not executing or something of that sort. I tried putting in logs into the vector sqf but it never triggers. It doesn't show in the rpt log.

I have the same issue as Kronons. (This is for the exile version of the script btw) I've followed the instructions for installation and yet it does not seem to show vectoring menu in the black box like in the video when activating a construction piece like a wall.

Those videos are showing the full version in eXpoch highlighting the vector build addition to exile.

Expect full version capabilities upon release of eXpoch as well as enjoy this vector building system in Altis Life, Wasteland, R3f, Operation Blockhead and soon Epoch and a new DPBEA addon for arma 3

Just to make sure I understand: You will be publishing a version of this vector building system for normal, plain Exile right?  Not just for Expoch but also for normal Exile mod right?

And if so, will this future version include GUI elements that tell players that the arrows control vectoring?

This post is the release post, it has been available for several weeks now.
Yes this is eXpoch Vector Building lite ported to work with base vanilla Exile.

All of my vector building systems that I released over the past several weeks (Altis Life, Wasteland, Operation BH, Exile, eXpoch, R3F, DPBEA) were all ported from my original work on Anarchy and each has its own setup for the respective mod its been added to.

I know how to fix battleye kick, but I come across restriction about the attachto.txt and do not know exactly how to handle it (since the logic sounds a bit different than script.txt)

here is the kind of log I have in attachto.log :
